This contract position is to design and develop call-processing software for W-CDMA customers, with a specific focus on code and unit test enhancements of new and existing call-P features, in the area of Radio Resource Management. In general the candidate may be responsible for the end-to-end software development process including high-level and detailed design, documentation, implementation, unit test, and integration test. Verification test is performed by a separate W-CDMA verification team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C++ code development and unit test, will have an understanding of wireless systems and real-time systems, and will be a good communicator, capable of working with many teams located across different time zones.
Skill set requested:
Familiar with UMTS wireless systems
Knowledge of 3GPP specifications and communication protocols
OO design and C++ implementation and test
Call-Processing experience
Familiar with real-time systems. Knowledge of VxWorks
Familiar with Linux development environment
Familiar with Clearcase environment
Good communication skills
